Pickled Red Onions

Pickled Red Onions

Prep time: 5 minutes
Pickling time: 1 hour

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 red onion
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Method:

  1. Thinly slice the red onion. 
  2. In a pot over a medium heat, combine vinegar, water, sugar and salt and bring to a gentle simmer, until the sugar and salt have dissolved. Allow to cool. 
  3. Place the red onion into a jar or container and pour over the pickling liquid. 
  4. Put the lid on and place in the fridge for at least an hour.
